Wood-fired Pizza

A brick pizza oven with the wild mountain bee on the front
It all started during the early days of lock-down. With our restaurant closed and nothing to do for the first time in our adult lives, we decided to build a brick oven. Swift Masonry in Sooke built our beautiful oven and Leechtown Blacksmiths in Otter Point fabricated the door and many other functional elements.

We are thrilled to be cooking with fire! While the oven heats up during the day, we are roasting mushrooms and vegetables. By 4pm the bricks are hot and we are cooking our wood-fired pizza, made with grains grown in Metchosin at Stillmeadow Farm and milled in Metchosin at Nootka Rose. We make all our own charcuterie, from pepperoni to prosciutto, from local, ethically-raised meat. Our pizza is available for dine-in or to go!
